Ornamental Trees

An ornamental tree describes a tree that is grown in order to provide some feature other than simply adding height to the garden. Typically this feature is decorative which can be either, or both of, Spring blossom or Autumn colour. Other features that could be considered to define an ornamental tree are shape, texture of the leaves coupled with the colour and texture of the bark.

Popular trees categorized as onamental are acer, betula, malus, prunus and sorbus all of which are stocked by Freeland Nurseries.

When new ornamental tree varieties become available for sale they will be announced on our new arrivals page and ornamental trees considered to be in optimal condition will be highlighted on the looking good page.
